Right now, and through 2010, consumers purchasing and installing almost any new wood pellet appliance can take a 30% federal tax credit for the purchase and installation cost of the system, up to $1,500. This makes converting to a pellet appliance even more cost effective. Depending on what fuel you are currently using to heat your home, the payback in savings could be less than two years. |
