It’s never been easier to convert to wood pellets. Many retailers now sell wood pellet stores, and most can install, or recommend contractors to install the pellet appliances in your home. Pellet stoves don’t require the special high temperature flue or wall protection that wood stoves do. They can be installed in an existing fireplace, along an outside wall, or in the basement. While every stove is different, most are cool to the touch on the outside, and vent gas is warm, not hot. The floor surface must be a fire resistant surface for safety, but otherwise installation is fairly easy.
